I will be purchasing a computer in a few days with Vista. I plan to use it to stream media to a ps3 in one room, and want to also be able to stream to a sony bravia tv in another room. Can anybody recommend a decent, yet cheap, media extender that would be suitable to use with the bravia which will allow me to use the vista interface?

    Cheers

I stream Live football Matches from my Laptop to HD TV. I use a S-Video Connection.

you could also use Windows Media Center, it comes with Vista

    Works like a charm

I would recommend using Media Centre on the vista PC to stream content to a Linksys DMA2100 extender, or an Xbox 360 connected to your Bravia display.

This is a very good, easy to use solution. The linksys device is €269 - this includes 802.11n wireless connectivity and a remote control. The 360 costs less but does not include these extras as standard.

You'll find more info in the HTPC forum, or feel free to ask me more. It's late and I'm tired, i'll be more helpful in the morning :)

It is a great setup tho!
