Dont know of a website, but Im sure someone does.

They can be mixed middling depending on who is there. If you want a reading its usually a pretty good place to get one, but they are a bit heavy on selling stuff. Interesting to get a feel for whats happening in the holistic world in general. Ive met some very good people at them, its another point of contact into all of this.

There isn't a website that I know off but you'll usually see flyers etc in shops like CrystalWings & The House of Astrology in Dublin.

I've gone to a fair organised by these guys before in Gorey. My sister had a fantastic reading by a girl from Carlow and Stefan G on another occassion.

There is a fair on in Clane, Co. Kildare on Sunday 13th April. Anyone have any information on that?

Ive read with the fair organisers here for the last 2 years. They have cut down drasticaly on the number of fairs done in a year now.
theres a lot of stuff involved here behind the scenes and due to that i have actually stopped going.
I must point out also the girl in Carlow your talking about has completly disapperared off the reading scene as she was exposed,i will not go into details but cold readings is a little hint.
dont get me wrong i am not saying your sister didnt enjoy her reading i am just pointing out that some readers get by on reading a person very wwell,as in there body language but when they are put on a stage and have to perform for real they bolt.

ive been asked to do the fair in clane but also know not too many readers are taking the offer up,have decided not to myself as its not sitting right.

That's VERY interesting Karynp - my sister was only telling me yesterday that two girls she knows had arranged for readings in Carlow at the weekend. The reader refused to answer the door so they left a note saying they would be back in half an hour. When they arrived back her car was gone!

I'll give Clane a skip so - thanks for the advice.

But for future cases, how are you to know who can be relied upon?

Karynp, what reason should Clane be avoided, was going to go,please elaborate.

Yes I was going to go as well, why would it be best avoided? Although the fact it's being advertised as a "fortune telling and holistic fair" didn't sit well with me. :)

I'll be the short dark haired girl dragging a tall dark and handsome man around saying "what do you mean it's all overpriced crap - this is not just any old stone you know" (replace stone with cards, pendulum, book, reading, chart...... etc I always spend a fortune at those things!)

Im not saying to avoid not going, what i said was i was not going as a reader as it wasnt sitting well with me and so far the feedback from other readers who were asked to do it have also all declined.
I dont have an actual answer just that my gut tells me not to go and usually when thats the case its because its badly organised and turns out to be a let down of a day,so from the view of a reader i wont be attending but may well pop in on the day and have a gander at how it does turn out.
It cant do anyone any harm to look in on it,usually these events have a small admittance fee.
From a personal point of view ive backed off most of these organised fairs now as there not done for the right reasons anymore ,just for people to make money, the readers are not choosen the way they used to be,we used to get tested a lot, random people sent in by organisers to check you out if you were new to a particular organisers fair. But for the past year or so these fairs are going downhill, even the RDS is not what it used to be.

Are the readers not genuine or is there any way of telling who is or who is not?

Karynp was right, it was a total disapointment.

I didnt even bother going to have a look.
What was it like Helena? Did you have a reading done or keep your money for better things?
Always trust your intuition on these things.

I didn't get a reading as each queue had loads of people in it. So I would imagine the readings would be rushed. The room was a bit small for the amount of people there. Was not very impressed with some of the reiki people (all I can really comment on with any knowledge) and there were plenty of massage things which were done pretty much in the open, which might happen a lot but I thought it was a bit open for that. Um not much else I can think of now but overall it wasn't great.
