However if you're a UCD student and you've lost your card then you'll have to swan over to Administration and get a new card either with a letter from the Gardai stating you've lost or had it stolen or pay the cost.

But in the meantime you can avail of a limited number of day passes.

but if you were a UCD student you would already know that you need a card for the library :D

no one is ever "ready" for the library. You dont know until you go in and are confronted by librocop

Approximately the same speed your phone does as he tosses it into the drawer of no return, but significantly slower than the speed of his arm as he removes it from your possession. Librocop: a force of nature.

Seriously though, if you lost your card but need to use the library go to one of the departments you are studying in, explain to them the situation and ask them to write a letter to the library explaining that you need library access until a certain date and they'll sort you out

    Pedant.

For the OP: What bubs101 said. I had to do that before when Admin were feckin around at the start of my MA (September 06, seems a lifetime ago now) and hadn't got around to registering me properly for a student card.

    If.

However, Librocop was not born. Librocop always was, and always will be.

If you're not a member of UCD then you can still get in, but you need to get a letter from your own college library saying that you need to get in. I do it with UCC when I'm down in Cork
