I've decided to put a few things up on ebay. Anybody like to give me any advice? Best times to close auctions etc. Starting prices? What if the item closes at too low a price? Reserve or not?

Should put in a reserve if you want to cover your costs, don't forget you have ebay insertion and final value fees and if you pay though Paypal, then they take a %.

Best time for the auction to finish is on a Sunday evening as it appears to be the busiest time for people browsing!

Check out this guide which I found very useful!

Thanks for the link, it's very good.
I never really liked bidding on something with a reserve so I didn't bother...
Also thought it was interesting to close at the time stated. I thought it would be different, Monday or Tuesday rather than the weekend.

If you do not like reserve prices, list at the minimum price you are happy with
