I know this is an odd request and perhaps suited to another forum so move it mods if needs be.
Basically I need to borrow a sheep for an hour or so for this thing Im doing next week.
Where can one borrow a sheep from considering I need the sheep in Dublin city centre?
    Anyone have any suggestions?

I really don't think your going to find a sheep in the city centre, unless you refer to the human kind. No, you're going to have to go at least to a suburb.

I don't think the people of AH are going to approve of your sick sheep fetish!

Seriously, why do you need a sheep? You'll be hard pressed to find one in Dublin city! If you can get out of the city you might get lucky and find someone who is taking the whole 'environmentally friendly' thing too seriously and keeps sheep in the back garden, but otherwise you'll probably have to find a farm!

I love that I'm advising people in where to get sheep! Haven't been near one since that trip to the Glenroe farm....shudder!

If the OP doesn't explain why they need a sheep they should get a lifetime ban, all in favour?

You could probably do it twice in an hour, ya know.
    More bang for your buck

Didn't Bono have a sheep on Stephen's Green there a few years back?

If you look about I bet it's still in there somewhere.

This plea for a sheep sounds like someone is desperate in organising some crappy photo shoot, is this sheep gonna be in between some starlets legs and published in the Sunday Independant as they are promoting a new line of lamb products or something?

Yeah something a bit like that. I cant go into it here cos I want it to be a suprise but all will be explained in due course.
Ok I know this sounds dodge but no harm will come to the animal,I promise! It will just have to stand there and It will have grass to graze on.

I just thought If there was any sheep farmers on boards or anyone knew any sheep farmers near the dublin area that wouldnt mind me borrowing it for a bit?Or If anyone has a sheep as a pet?

If I cant find a live one then an inflatable one will do,where can I find a live size inflatable sheep?

    Um....... ?????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,484 ✭✭✭JIZZLORD

i'd say that unless you personnally knew a sheep farmer within close proximity to dublin you'd have a hard time finding one. if a randomer asked the auld fella for a sheep i'm sure they'd be met with a blank stare and then a no.

I can actually get you one. PM me. Shhhhhhh dont tell anyone....

No need to be so hard on the OP, I hear this sort of request is quite normal in Wales. Try and find a farmer who goes by the name of Jones, he'll sort you out. ;)

Reminds me of the episode of Family Guy where Peter and Bill Clinton rob a sheep from a farm and take it for a spin in a limo.

You could always try one of the mountainous counties such as Kerry or Mayo and rob one in the middle of the night. They wouldn't even miss it!

Of course they would, what do you think they DO with their sheep round there? You'd be mad if someone stole away your favourite bit of hole too. :pac:

just follow the example of the metal band enslaved. a politician said music downloads should be free and legal, so they went into the mountains to that politicians farm and downloaded one of his sheep. ie kidnapped it :D

Just ask a farmer for the loan of a sheep. Mind you, he'll probably think you're trying to pull the wool over his eyes.
