    Hey,

Myself and a few friends are headin to Boston for the summer on a J1 and we're having trouble finding jobs. We've all got expereince working in accounting departments in Ireland and I've got experience working in a pub and as a lifeguard. Just wondering if anyone could give us a few ideas for jobs or contacts at companies. Thanks in advance.

did my j1 in boston last yr, my advice is to go looking for a job the minute you get out there-there was something like 12000 j1ers in boston last yr and the jobs went FAST! boston aquarium took a lot of irish, the prudential shopping centre had lots of irish working in it.practically all the ticket stands for the bus tours and the lemonade stands had j1ers on them too.
for bar/restaurant work it can be tough because there is a lot of permanent irish in boston in these jobs.theres a group of irish pubs around faneuil hall, the main tourist bit, and theres TONNES of restaurants in that area that i know people got work in.just get down there early.
