    Hi All

You will not see many of these around and i would love to keep it but family comes first and its got to go.

1976 Land Rover 101fc Ex Military Ambulance
was first used on the road in 1982 so the VRO gave 1982 reg :-(
    3.5 L V8
    Permanent 4 wheel drive
I have it advertised for €6500 but i am open to offers.

These vehicles were never sold to the public and are quite rare. In total i think about 2600 were made and only 400 were converted to Ambulances. Its in good condition overall and is driving but has not had a good run in over a year so needs some TLC. I have its military history and some other documention.

Any questions please post will gladly answer your questions.

Yes it is good fun has a bunk in the back and is very very capable off road. It is fully insulated and dual charging like most camper vans.

Great for those places your car wont go.

I have had a number a similar questions over the last few days hope this helps.

Is it LHD or RHD - its RHD

How is it registered - Its registered commercial

Does it have any stretchers - NO but there is a bunk in the back with a counter and sink.

How much does it cost to run, cannot give an accurate figure but i took it on two long runs last rear and over the two days it used €50 of petrol. Prices have risen since then :-(

Is it original - the only things that are missing are the stretchers in the back otherwise its as original as can be.

Must resist, must resist! Can't justify having two!

If anyone is contemplating it, driving a 101 is huge fun and I've been doing it for 10 years. Don't bother worrying about fuel consumption, the V8 burble is worth it! The ambulance versions make a great camper, very popular with overland travellers.

Tons of advice on them and spares from the 101 club so keeping them on the road is easy. Go on, you know you want to!

    Hi Sean

Nice to hear from a fellow 101 owner. Do you know if there are many 101s in ireland?

I have only ever seen two others.

    Regards

    David

There are 5 club members registered here I think and four 101s probably. I've only met Robin Payne who has one. I did around 10 - 12 events here last year and also drove it back to the UK for a show last year, doing so again in about 3 weeks.
