    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone is having issues with ipoker and eircom broadband disconnects.
everytime i start to play a game it will disconnect intermitantly and i have to switch of the eircom box wait a minute and switch back on. Really annoying!.
I had one or two instances of this with Poker stars but its really bad with ipoker.

any one else had this kind of problem?

    Jobless,
From time to time your router will jam, aswell as turning it on/off hit the reset button.

I have the same problem but I only use a 3 mobile broadband connection. It disconnects every 5 minutes on average. I might get 10 mins if I'm lucky.
It's not too bad in an MTT when you have more time before action comes around to you, but in SNGs its very annoying when it happens and by the time you reconnect, you will have folded what is sometimes a massive hand!
I'd imagine its bad if your playing cash too, and it would tilt me massively!

Its actually not ipoker at all because I have occasionally played a quick game at work without any issues.
Its probably due to signal strength and the game download and upload speeds which causes it to constantly disconnect, but like you, I'm not very techy either.

I have been using iPoker with 3G Three broadband for the past year and yes it disconnects every 5 minutes....of course it could also be partly 3G fault but I used PokerStars for the past 2 days, and in 10 hours of play and never got disconnected one single time. Pity because I love the iPoker layout and range of games, but it got too frustrating to play and having o worry about losing connection in the middle of some big hand all the times.

i have had the same problem with Pokerstars but it would only happen maybe every two hours.... with i poker it has become a nightmare. ive had to quit.

thats why i thought it was an issue with their software.... looks like i'll have to go back to poker stars and no rakeback :(

I have an Eircom netopia router and the reset button is beside the on/off switch, it's a small hole on the back of the router, push a pen or pencil in and hold for about 4/5 secs until you see the power light change from green to red. Give it about 30 secs until you see the dsl sync light stop flashing and stays solid green.
This usually works for me anyway.
One question, do you have this problem only with poker or does it happen with ie aswell?
