Hi folks, im a 27 year old desk jockey (like many!) im about 6 1 and i weigh just under 13 stone, i could do with losing half a stone, im starting to develop a small double chin and a bit of a spare tyre! i am a 36" waist but have been for a long time, i havent a large stomach or anything so i am assuming its to do with my body shape? i would see 12 and half stone or a little less as an ideal weight for someone my size.

Basically my diet isnt wonderful and it isnt awful, i eat a lot of fruit and drink water but i dont deny myself anything either.

Yesterday i had a low fat cappucino and porridge made with low fat milk with raisins and honey for brekkie, a roll with roast turkey and a side salad for lunch and two slices of fibre co toast with apricot and seeds with a cup of tea in the evening, but that would be a good day!

i went for a 15 minute 3k road run yesterday evening aswell

i was thinking if i stuck to something similar to the above and ran 4 days a week i should drop a few pounds, am i right?

Are you me in disguise? Same age, same height, same weight. Well at least I was the same weight a few months ago - 12 and a half now. Not as much of an expert as other people here, but I found that just by cutting out junk food (crisps, chocolate, etc) and carrying on with the rest of my diet as normal, I lost about half a stone over a couple of months.

I eat fairly healthily: muesli for breakfast, brown sandwich for lunch, cooked dinner using fresh ingredients, fruit as snacks in between. Also do a bit of cardio work (maybe run 15-20 km a week), and weights at home 2/3 times a week. Cutting out the junk food definitely makes a huge difference though

    Good luck!
