An Australian politician has suggested designating a special day for children and families in Queensland to hunt poisonous cane toads and put them in their freezers.

State parliament member Shane Knuth said today it would be a “Clean Up Australia Day” against the pest, which is killing off many of Australia’s native animals.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says it would support the action if the amphibians are killed humanely.

Is no one else worried that this guy wants children to hunt poisonous animals? Granted, I'm sure it builds character, but is it really worth it?

Simply place the toad between two square family-size pieces of of wood. Place family on top of upper board. Hilarity ensues due to toad height reduction.
