Getting Wordpress to work in root directory

I'm trying to install Wordpress on my hosting365 account.

It works find under the sub directory www.URL.com/wordpress
However I want the blog to run unser www.URL.com

    I've done the following:
Logged onto the wordpress mysql database with phpMyadmin and changed the siteurl record in the wp-options table

Moved all the files from the wordpress directory to the root directory

Logged into the wordpress admin panel and changed the main and blog url's under options.

Now when I try to log onto the blog www.URL.com the browser just hands.

Some web pages mentions editing the .htaccess file but since this is windows hosting this is not an option.

Any suggestions, has anyone else done it on hosting365
