Error message when trying to access site

I have been trying to access a website that I use on a daily basis, Its a discussion board and as I was trying to post a thread this error came up :

You are not authorized to view this page
You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.

I have googled the error but to be honest I dont understand alot of it, I am hoping someone can explain to me in plain english any way I can go about getting into this site again!

Yes - But I dont think its blocked purposely, if anything they would block Bebo or Facebook. We dont even have an IT dept anyway, its all done externally.

It's very slow for me, but I the page loaded after about a minute. The 403 error "Your Web server thinks that the HTTP data stream sent by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) was correct, but access to the resource identified by the URL is forbidden for some reason". It could be they banned your ip or it's something at your workplace.

Are you sure you are putting the address in correctly? It could be a problem with the server or incorrect configuration of the website.

Can proxy servers give out 403 errors when blocking websites? Never experienced it myself...

I really dont think they would have banned it in work. I can try contact the administrator of the site and see if theres an issue with my IP address?

Other than that is there anything I can do myself on the computer. Ive trawled the net and alot of people say its easy t get by and only take sa few mins but Its not in plain english so it means nothing to me!

Yes defo have the correct address, ive tried to get into it through lots of different places, by googling my username on the site and other people have sent me the links they use - still the same message comes up

Try using a proxy.[I'm guessing that's what they mean]

Try an easy one like this - http://www.hidemyass.com/

If that doesn't work contact the site and see if your ip's banned.

Istalled firefox and its still saying access denied :mad:
