there's jimi hendrix but no janis?
janis joplin, joni mitchell, linda rondstat, kate bush
some of the ladies id rather hear over that one smiths song that gets played over and over
note: whatever the smiths might have stood for, morrissey, the opening/closing credits of 'charmed' is a smiths song
liz phair, fiona apple, tori amos, jill scott, dusty springfield-not her supposed modern day equivalents, the breeders, tracy chapman
    patti smith, nico, stevie nicks,
pj harvey (she was on a bit when her new album came out but come on, the lady's been around for ages, has so much music to offer),
    sinead o'connor, jenny lewis, blondie,
suzanne vega, grace slick, the indigo girls, poe, aimee mann, imogen heap, the gossip, cat power . . .
