    "Mirror" is actually a bot run by boards to pad out threads with blank posts. This is to keep each page of posts an average of 20 long by default.

    It can be spot on if a prank is pulled off really well. The Irish Times ran a front page story on how the Disney corporation were planning to buy Lenin's embalmed corpse a few years back. And there was the BBC's famous story in the 60s on how the spaghetti crops were failing in Italy.
