Thinking of buying a Freshman acoustic €300 for my 12yr old daughter. Anybody got any thoughts on this make?

I've seen them but not played or heard them. I'd probably get a Yamaha for that money instead, rather than chance it.

I remember reading reviews of their electrics a few years back and they were said to look very well etc, but just have cheaper electronics. As for the acoustics, I played one while drunk and do remember thinking it was quite good for the money the guy paid.
Can't be of any more help really. Yamaha are very good for the dough too.

I'll revive this. I'm looking for a new guitar, around the €300 mark (max.). My favourite so far is a Tanglewood laminate top, but I'm keen to try the Tanglewood solid top.

But, after trying an entry-level Washburn (a little too bassy for my liking, but the second best), I really liked the volume and tone coming from a Freshman dreadnought (for €320).

Anyone know more about these. They do get good reviews.
