Contacts on I Phone

Hi all

I have an i phone version 1.1.4 , its unlocked .
i copied my phone numbers from the sim onto the phone.
when i get a text the persons name comes up but when a person rings me only their phone number comes up and not there name.

does anyone know how to solve this problem.

Are your numbers stored a format including the international dialing code, e.g. +353? I had the same problem with some of my contacts which were just entered as 086 123456. I just changed them to +353 86 123456 and it worked.

Install appsupport 1.1.4

Thanks for the replys, i have appsupport1.1.4 on my phone.
i changed some of my contacts from +35386 to 086 and now the names come up. a bit annoying that i had to manually change every contact on the phone.

You don't have to that is one of the things appsupport fixes

Thanks for the reply.
I used the application isim to copy the contacts from my sim onto the phone. i already had appsupport installed. is there another programme i can download that copies contacts from the sim onto the phone with out having to loose the +353
