Connect Echostar 3600IP to Shy Dish ?

    Hi
I have this Echostar 3600IP receiver which has been sitting in a cupboard for about 2 years. At the time I didn't have time to play with it but I have dragged it out now. Hopefully some wise person can answer a couple of questions.

If I connect this receiver to my sky dish using a spare cable to a quad LNB, will it work for FTA channels or is the sky lnb only good for digiboxes?

Later on I hope to install a new dish with multiple lnbs to connect this receiver to different satellites. Can anyone recommend a suitable dish and lnb setup to do this? I am in Drogheda by the way. What range of degrees can I expect to access? Will I get 28 degrees to 13 degrees or is that too much to expect.

Lastly, How would I connect 4 lnbs, for example, from a multi-lnb setup to one receiver such as the echostar? Is there such a thing as a switch box or something like that. I don't want to go as far as a motorised dish.

Sorry for all the questions, Thanks for any help in advance. :)

    Max

It will work just fine with the quad lnb

The triax dish with multi lnb holder works well and 28 to 13 is achieveable if you have line of sight to both positions. you will need a diseq switch also

A 4 way diseq switch is needed which you control using the echostars satellite set up menus
