I had my car for NCT today & it failed due to a worn link on the Offside rear suspension.

The mechanic marked the item on the sheet (The drawing of the car)

    The actual fault wording is:
"Rear Suspension System (55) Link Condition Worn Offside Rear"

He marked with a biro the part that needs to be changed but I'm not sure what it is actually called.

I've marked the numbers 1 & 2 in red on the Pic & it looks like he is referring to number 2 because that's where he has the arrow pointing.

Does anyone know what that part is called?
