Well mate I was in the same situation as yourself,

played for my club till I did my leaving cert and decided to take it up again 5 years later this year. However im going to wait till next season to start back. Went to the first 5 or so training sessions and was lagging behind everyone else in terms of fitness big time!! It was so frustrating to have to concentrate on trying to keep up with them running never mind learning how to kick a ball again!

Just make sure your fit for it before you start!Any club would be delighted to have you. My club had a meeting in the clubrooms at the start of the season so thats how I heard but just turn up early on one of their training sessions. You would be looking to start at junior level but I for my club anyway they all train together!

    Good luck!

What part of Dublin are you in? any where near St brigids in blanchardstown? i play junior for them.

The real football is just beginning, the second round of league fixtures was today, before that it was mainly cup. To be honest the sooner you get back into it the better, I wouldnt wait until next year. Even if you send alot of time on the line this year.
