    Hi

I am looking for advice on how to become a residential property negotiator for my bro

He has FMCG (retail sales experience) and some B2B & a degree in business studies

Currently he hates his B2B job and I am trying to convince he is perfect for property.. he is well presented, polite & pretty smart, but just hates the hard sell aspect of B2B

.. however he reckons with no property exp & being 29 years old, he would be wasting his time

Does anybody know can you get into res property sales with no experience?

What kind of salary would a negotiator expect with his CV?

Could he get away with bulls*itting res property exp in france or somewhere? Is that possible or are there parts of the job you couldnt BS without the exp?

Or has anyone made a transition from non-property sales to property? I would be interested to hear

    ta

    hey shantor,

if he hates the 'hard sell' then property might not be the way to go. he would have to be quite ruthless to succeed at it. it might be a bit soul destroying if he is a genuine nice lad. now i am not having a go at propety sales guys, not in the slightest. but they would know themslves that it is a hard sell and you would have to be pretty tough and ready to screw people to make a sale. not for the faint hearted is what i am saying.

regarding qualifications and experince, i am not sure what he would need to get started. but i do know that the work is drying up for property sales. in fact there was a post from a guy here a couple of weeks ago and he was having his salary cut by 70% or something insane like that becuase the work wasnt there for them anymore. it might be a bad time in ireland to get started, but thats not to say he couldnt do well at it in another country.

    hope this helps.
