#9: Silent Night, Deadly Night

Easily one of the most inspired, yet polemical slasher flicks ever to be sprung into the mainstream; Alexandre Aja is back at rehashing good ideas with his remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night. The movie focuses on a maniacal psycho killer who roams the streets of a small town decked in a Santa Clause outfit, viciously laying to waste all who cross his path; gorily disposing all he deems naughty, on Christmas Eve no less.

I like Alexandre Aja, but lol

Nothing too inspiring there to be honest in terms of building expectation, with the exception of Cell, House of Re-animator and Mother of Tears - cannot wait for Cell in particular, was an excellent book.

And wow...holy crap. Machete is actually real? I didn't know that...

Will go see most of those though, and no doubt some of them will turn out to be excellent.

As long as Dario Argento keeps casting that fox of a daughter of his, I'm happy.

TBH the only two that really jumped out at me from the list are Machete (Because I loved the trailer since the Grindhouse/Planet Terror set) it looks like its going to be pretty funny, leave your brain at the kiosk sort of film.

Other than that its Midnight Meat Train, i've been following that one progress since someone posted up the Poster and some concept art a few months ago.

Other than that nothing really takes my fancy all that much

House of Re-Animator is officially dead. No studio will finiance it and once the current administration in America leaves office the script will be out of date. Gordon has said that he would be willing to rewrite the script but chances are slim.
