Soccer fans in Galway are in line for a treat in May if ambitious plans to stage a game between some of the legends of Manchester United and Liverpool at Terryland Park at the end of May are realised.

-Story in the Tribune. Great if it happens.

Good idea for a fundaraiser for Galway United.
Meanwhile, United are playing Shamrock Rovers on Saturday night at 7pm. Terryland is an excellent venue. Hopefully they will knock Rovers of the thier tracks.

    C'mon United.

I think it's very cool aswell but then the match starts....and you don't feel like going back again then because the football is so rubbish.

We'd be in for a treat if United could actually score a goal at Terryland :o

There must be more going on there behind the scenes. I think Utd's pathetic home form stretching back to last season was the major factor in Cousins getting sacked. I can only presume (and hope) they have Damien Richardson lined up. That kind of home form for a professional outfit in the Eircom league is pathetic

Also a thread on the sacking in soccer here.
Agree it was the very poor home form which probably caused it.
