    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to get the helvetica font on redhat. I have browsed the net and a lot of people talk a lot about doing all sorts of things but nobody actually gives the solution. Get the font, install it and away you go.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks
    G

I'm not 100% sure on this topic but I always understood that most of the well known fonts are copyrighted and not "Open" or free for distribution - Helvetica being among these!? But as I say this is just vague memory and I'm by no means sure.
After saying that you can install more fonts an perhaps Helvetica is part of the MS Core fonts project try the following to install them
    http://www.fedorafaq.org/#installfonts
    maybe it will help?
Do let us know if it helps (either way) as others in the future may stumble across this thread while looking of the same ;)
