Swapping prizes/presents in Dublin shop

Anyone know if any of the golf shops in Dublin will swap golf prizes or golf presents (with no receipt) for other golf stuff (assuming the equipment you're handing in is of course unused and unwrapped and the shop actually sells said item) ?

I think I remember hearing some years back of somebody swapping a prize they won for something of similar value in McGuirks without any problems - but just wanted to know if anybody has any experience, good or bad....

If it wasn't purchased there I would think they won't change it.

For the society I'm in we buy our prizes in a local golf shop and the member/winner simply mentions this when returning/changing the item and it's not a problem.

Find out where the present or prize was bought.

I exchanged a yucky salmon colour top I won as apart of a team event in McGuirks a couple of years ago. It had a value of e56 but they checked it on the computer and it had been bought for e32 which is what they gave me off whatever I was buying.
Ask them! Worst that can happen is they say no :o
