    Hi guys,
a mate here is looking for a good installer to upgrade his installation.
He's got Sky, but the installer from Sky has bolted the dish to the chimney, no lash kit used I'm told, ran cable down the back wall, even though there's already conduits running from attic. It's a new house and he thinks it's a mess. Doesn't help that the last installer had no meter with him, and drilled into and attached to the wall in 2 places before heading to the chimney.
He wants to get in Multi Room, and Sky plus, but feels the installers from Sky are too rushed to do a tidy job.

Can anyone recommend an installer Cork City (Glanmire/LittleIsland) to do the following:
    Installer Sky +, and MultiRoom.
Fix the location of dish to a safer location, or at least take from bolted to chimney to using lashing kit, it's a two story house.
Re-run existing cable, and run new cables into the attic and use existing conduits to run cables to rooms. (*)

Any rough price guide would be good too, of course, quote depends on what installer sees when he gets to the house.

    Thanks
    C

(*) If the installer doesn't do this, we could have this ready for the install day. I don't dont heights without a cherrypicker, so no roof work for me.

I had a guy from DMC sat communications install my sky+ last week, taught he was good. Mick was his name (dont have a number to hand) but DMC's number is 4341633. You might be able to get his number from them...

whats a lash kit btw ?

A lash kit is something that secures the dish to the chimney to stop it flying away in a strong breeze (hopefully). Commonly seen on chimney mounted aerials.

That is a nasty little bracket in the link .Deffo not recommended if chimney is rendered. Will just eat away at the render and the wire will come loose. And 6 "?
    Way too small.
    13'' cradle bracket every time!

It's just an illustration for syboit. You're an installer from cork Rippy, why not give the OP a rough idea of the cost?
