Ok so my mother let my 5 year old nephew bash away at my computer 2 days ago and now I have an issue with IE

Basically if I go on to various websites, certain parts or features of that website have stopped loading.

For example if I go on to our beloved boards.ie the drop down menus on the top do not display at all.

If I go on to youtube the little screens for the video will not display.

Anyone got any ideas what this might be and how to fix it.

Apologies if this is asked frequently but I don't even know what its called to do a search for it. :o

    thanks folks

Check to see if Javascript is enabled.

Yeah, it looks like the security settings have changed. Tools/Internet Options/Security

A System Restore might just sort it either.

reset security settings in tools - internet options - advanced tab.

Give ccleaner a go to clean up temp files and registry.

Think I might just install firefox and be done with it

Haven't tried a system restore yet

I think you can repair Internet Explorer through the add and remove programs in control panel. Another way to fix it would be to re-install IE.

Or, as he said, just use Firefox :p
