Can anyone suggest a supplier of basketball equipment in Leinster / Ireland?

I don't know of any, but might help if you say exactly what you're looking for.

Are you looking for a garden setup, or proper perspex backboards and spring-loaded rings?

My wife is an official of a club in Kildare and they regularly purchase balls, bibs cones etc. They have used SP Sports (Nangor road) in the past and found them to be good however was just wondering if there were other suppliers that people had dealings with. There was someplace in Bray I think that was also used but I cant find any info on them.

They should be affiliated with some local area board. It would be worth bringing it up with other club representatives there as they might have experience. If not BI might be able to help put them in touch with people who have recently done up their gyms. I know Killester have done up theirs recently.

Alternatively, the way the dollar is at the moment, it may be worth sourcing stuff from the States ... just a thought. Someone else might have some more opinions.

Is it worth buying equipment in regular toy stores or should it be bought in a specialist shop? My son is 14 and very much taken by BB.

Yeah, there's a company called Fitness Functions, (Carlow), they supplied the local school with all their BB equipment.
