Man Shoots Wife Dead Trying To Install TV

A man who tried to use a gun to install a satellite television system ended up shooting his wife dead by accident.

The correct way to install dishRonald Long tried to make a hole in the exterior wall of his house in Missouri, US, to install the dish for the system.

After several unsuccessful attempts, he got a .22-calibre handgun and blasted two holes in the wall.

The second bullet hit his wife, Patsy, in the chest, fatally wounding her.

She was standing outside the house at the time, but Long reportedly thought she was inside.

Officials are now trying to determine whether to file charges against him.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Major Robert Hills said a person involved in such a case normally would be charged with manslaughter, but that was up to the prosecutor.

"Once we complete a diagram of the incident, we will be submitting everything to the prosecuting attorney and let him decide if he wants to press criminal charges," he said.

Great find! Could only happen in the US!

Or in England if Jermy Clarkson was installing.
Actually, no, he would "take out" the wall and the neigbours. I've seen his attempts at tree pruning and weeding using a shotgun. Very irresponsible.

In the less salubrious part of limerick they shot up SIX houses with machine gun this week and failed to even hurt anyone. I don't think they were a Sat installer.

Whilst we're on the subject of dodgy installs, check out this aerial install in Balbriggan i spotted last sat.
The guy has cemented the aerial onto the ridge tile.
    Thought i'd seen it all....

Method would not have worked anyway.. .22" =5.9mm
    CT100 or RG6 diameter is around 6.8mm

Of course you are right,a 50 calibre would be needed as demonstrated by the firearms experts in this video.
