    ok here goes,

Im 24 years old. I weigh 16 stone 5lbs. I used to be very fit until i was 19, mostly by playing rugby. Then i gave that up and have done nothing in 5years. My body fat is mainly around my belly and face. I am extremely pissed off at my weight. I tried like many the "fad" diets and lost 2 stone. But i would say that went back on in about 2 months.

    Enough is enough.

I joined the ireland bootcamp last week. It was a killer to start with but i feel in time i will reap the benefits of it.

Basically my goal is to get in shape and fit(whose isn't). Im going to go at this with a full head of steam so i want to do it right. No messing about.

I have read some great threads in here and have some small information about things i need to be doing. But i want a personal timetable for me, im hoping you guys/gals can kindly contribute steps you think i need to be taking e.g. food intake what times and what balance of carbs/protein. Excercises on top of the boot camp etc. Im not looking for a cut body...i just want to lose weight and be realitivly fit. I want to shed 3 stone. I have no timeframe for this.

    I work a 9-5.30. I get home about 18.45.

I don't think i need to go into detail about what got me to this weight. Basically just no excerise and too much beer and late night munchies.

I want this down to a fine art, i want to get into a routine and shed the pounds and become fit so i can partake in sports at a good level again.

    Please Help!

    Well done on getting started.

As someone who is 3stone over weight you must focus on diet first. Exercise is not as important as diet so read the stickies on this to get going. I need not be complicated and a 'fine art' as those that are more than a stone over weight are or were eating too much and junk food.

There is a sliding scale with diet:

If you are very over weight you just need to get the basics right - move more eat less

If you are only slightly over weight and need to tighten up what you have you need to be more specific with diet and training

Do some form of exercise every day and sort out diet, its the basics you need to focus on not the specific
