Help me (again)...ebay!

I was selling a PS3 on ebay and the description showed that I would only post to the UK (as I live in the UK). I put the post at a reasonable £21.00.

The winning bid was someone from Germany who wants me to send the item to Nigeria.

Another bizarre thing is that the winning bid is showing as £2049.00!! there is something very fishy going on!

The email I got has the item being sold for a ridiculous £450.00 plus £100.00 shipping. Can anyone shed any light on this? I'm new to selling and this has me totally baffled. Am I expected to post outside the UK when there was no option to do so regardless what they pay?

Heres a run down of the bids...

    £170.00 (opening offer)
    £180.00
    £200.00
    £250.00
    £300.00
    then....
    £999.00
    £1999.00
    and finally
    £2049.00

Is there some scam here I should know about?

Looks like the ould you send the goods when they send you a cheque and it will bounce after about a week.

I'm just thinking I should inform them that I said I wouldn't post outside the UK as I stated. Am I entitled to do that? I'm obviously not breaching any contracts.

Post the item number although it is obviously a scam/auction wrecker. Relist it as a paypal immediate payment option though with the priviso of only sending to confirmed paypal accounts.

You are OK to ignore this sale

Report the buyer to eBay as an obvious scammer. You'll need to file a non-paying bidder claim to get your eBay fees back too.

I wouldnt reply to the bidder, just report to ebay and ask to post the item for sale again
