hey I just got a new honda cbr 125.

At the start it was fine and I would easily get up to 70kph but now for some reason it struggles to get to 40kph and on hills I can only get to 20kph [If im lucky] it doesnt matter wat gear im in. when i do manage to get it to 40kph the engines so loud its ridiculous and it takes quite a while to even get it there

any1 know wats wrong have i messed up the engine:confused:

Then straight back to where you bought it. Unless youve done something really silly to it, (ie driving the complete guts out of it when you should be running it in, or putting proboost or something in it:)) youre covered under warranty.

Get out your owners manual (you should have been given one) and have a read through it. It should tell you where the choke is and how to use it.

The choke might me up on the handle bar beside the clutch or it might be down under the tank near the fuel tap. Is there an owners manual with the bike? It'll have a diagram of the bike with the controls labeled. You should only need the choke for about 30 secs - 1 min when you start the bike and then put it in all the way (or slide it back if it's on the handle bar). I'm thinking the idle speed might be a bit low and he might have compensated by pulling the choke out?
