    Hi,

I am looking to book a fly drive holiday in France. We are looking for a week in a nice place. Not necessarily camping but something similiar.

Also looking to catch a few days in Euro Disney on the way back. Any recommendations for nice places. We have a 26 month old with us.

maybe a nice beach, lake area etc. Kids club if possible, nice towns locally.

Did anyone eve do a holiday like this or have a good website that can help?

    Cheers

    Hi there,
If you're driving, then I'd highly recomment Davy Crockett ranch at DisneyLandparis. It's a few miles from the main site and has no direct transport link - but it's a great fun place for kids. The mobile homes look like log cabins in the woods, there are loads of trails that all lead back to the centre, with a huge pool complex, entertainment area with singing and dancing etc. a huge restaurant and petting area with animals. I think there is an area like an indian reservation with teepees etc. and I remember my kids just loved it. We took a few day trips into Disney but when they were younger they preferred to spend their days at the ranch.

Try the Disneyland website or google it. Not cheap, but the kids still talk about it 12 years later...

I'm actualy just back tuesday after spending 4 days at the campsite of "La Croix to view point" at Vic Sur Aisne/ Berny Rivière in France

Its a large but lovely campside (mostly large mobile homes, but many lodges too & tents if thats your thing)
Situated next to the Aisne river and has 2 lakes for fishing or canoeing

Very family friendly, close to the historical towns of Soissons & Compiegne
About 40 mins from the A1 motorway which will take you south to Disneyland & Parc Asterix (and Charles de-Gaulle airport)

We flew to Beauvais on ryanair and rented a car from hertz for the 4 days
the drive was exactly 1.5 hours.

    We stayed with canvas holidays

I can tell you that our 4 nights in one of these, including sheets and towels etc, the return flights & the car (opel astra sport) came to €370 for 2 people

    certainly worth a look

Also Siblu holidays operate here too, (a company you can use your tesco clubcard points to book with)

Here's an idea for you or anyone if you're driving and you want to be near Paris and Disney and a beech.

My family and I stayed in a self-catering apartment 5 mins from Disney in a small village called Bailly-Romainvilliers The village is also only 10 mins from a lake with and artificial beech called Jablines. And we were only 35 kms from Paris. We had the best of everything. The name of the company we booked is called www.valeurproperties.com They speak English, so everything was easy, and the apartment was briliant.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

    Rock

Would second le Croix de Vieux port, its an amazing site, very pretty, lots to do. Sits organises a coach to Disneyland and paris and there are lots of great things to see nearby. have stayed there a few times.
