    Hi All,

Considering going back to college next year as it looks like my first career choice isn't going to pan out and think this course sounds very interesting, anyone doing it wanna shed some light on it? Like hours, difficulty, lecturers etc...

I'll be 22 when I'm starting, does this sound too old? I know it shouldn't, but for some reason its getting to me considering I did the leaving 3 years ago.

    Any help is much appreciated

    Cheers

    Hey,

I wouldnt worry about the age difference. You might not become best freinds with the 18yr old first years but teh college is full of different aged people from the world over. Clubs and Socs are a great way to make freinds outside your course too, so if you have any interests join up with a Club or soc that reflects that.

The course sounds good, though I dont know much about it. Hope someone else can be more informative :)

    Cheers Jesjes,

Sure I'm just about as mature as your typical 18 year old so there should be no problem there. Any boardsies doing the course itself?

    Hey Rob,

What are the classes/lecturers like?Is it engaging - basically whats your opinion on the course - what do you see yourself doing afterwards etc.. Also how many hours a week are you doing?

Anything else you think is relevant is appreciated.

    Thanks

For anyone on the course, is it actually a good degree? 430 points is low enough for a good business-type degree, so is there a chance a high-up job like at the end or will I end up working in some other terrible job? Basically just any opinions on weather the course is actually a competitive business/marketing course

Of the guys I know from this years graduates there's a few working for ebay, one in google, allianz, somewhere in Switzerland and there's plenty who have gone onto do a masters...

It's a decent course, less academic than a plain Business course. Depends what sort of job you want at the end of it really.

handing out fliers if you want to work in a marketing context :pac:

most people who study marketing dont work in the area but it maybe useful for getting your foot in the door in other companies. like an arts course etc.

Not true at all, I finished up last may and the vast majority of us are working in Marketing.

I think it is a good degree but then I would be biased. I know that most of us had jobs within a couple of months of finishing up.

    What do you mean duties?
In my current job or intra?

Anyway, I like my job, helps that I work in a enjoyable place with sound colleagues.

Pay is in line with what most graduates in Marketing get.
