Ok so I wasn't really bothered with these guys but then I heard that Owen Pallett has arranged all the strings for the album so I guess I'm going to buy the album when it comes out.

I love the single, I haven't heard any other of their tracks so Im really looking forward to hearing the album. I know theres some live footage of them on youtube, but I want to hear the studio tracks mainly to see how Owen Palletts work fits in with their sound.

They're on the cover of this weeks NME, I read the track by track review of the album they did awhile ago, but I don't like NMEs style of writting (I think they bullsh1t way too much), so I'd rather make up my own mind about it.

It'll be interesting to see the direction that Turner and Kane take.

I've taken to listening to the small amount of stuff from Kane's first band, The Little Flames recently while waiting for this.

Lovin the single. Can't wait for the album. They're on "later with Jools Holland" on Tuesday so might get to hear some new songs.

Great album, "meeting place" is fantastic. Just think of Arctic Monkeys meets 60's James bond and you'll know what they sound like.

I was thinkin the same thing, the whole album sounds like the soundtrack for a 70's spy movie.

I wanted to dislike them - when I saw them first, the sound was so retro and done before that it turned me off a bit but there certainly is more to them than that. Also I was a bit prejudice and figured they were only getting exposure cuz of Turner's participation (which no doubt helped) but I'm liking the stuff, and by christ they were good on Jools too, uber cool.

I wasn't expecting much really, I naively thought it was just "another side-project", but I decided to give them a chance and saw them on Jools Holland and was certainly very impressed. Their single has really grown on me, I was sining it all day today

Miles Kane has also played guitar for Arctic Monkeys when playin live, he does the distorted guitar on '505'! You can see him on videos for them at Glasto and on Jools last year!!
Yer man (forget his name) from Simian Mobile Disco does drums on TLSP album too and produced Favourite Worst Nightmare!!
He's obviously known Kane for a while, AM did a cover of one of The Little Flames' songs, 'Put Your Dukes Up John' (b-side to Leave Before The Lights Come On), Great song that!

well ive had the album for about three weeks, and for reason it actually took a few listens to get into, but i really like it now
