Sky Subscription without install

    Hi,

    Is it possible to get a Sky subscription without the install ? As in, i have a digibox and dish setup but just need a card and pairing ?

    Does the 1 year contract apply in this case ?

    Main reason is i'm abroad at the moment and want to get an Irish Sky subscription in the Netherlands using a friends address.

    Your best bet would be to contact an independent dealer for this

    My understanding is i have to setup a box + dish, point it at Astra 28.8 and ring up sky to pair the box to the card.

    Why would i need a dealer to do this ?

    Can't i just setup a subscription with Sky and send out a card to the address pay by direct debit or whatever.

    So thats the answer ?

    Well the technical part is fine .. its the contract part that i'm not sure about.

    From my previous post ..
    Does the 1 year contract apply ?
    Do sky do this type of setup minus the installation ?
    Bearing in mind i already have box and dish pointing at 28.8

    Lets for the sake of it lets pretend i'm in cork, have a dish on the roof and a digibox with the FTA channels and i want to get a sky subscription on it.

    If you were in Cork you would just phone sky for a second hand box contract and card.

    12 months apply.

    At least it did when I signed up for the same.
