    Hey all,
Wondering what sights ppl use, what you recommend and what not to buy. Want to get a decent one for field and outdoor. I'm using the cheap but quite good cartel one at the minute and it keeps shaking loose...

I wouldent go for the sureloc, i know a few people who have them and are not very happy with them at all!

If your price range is up and the level of a sureloc then i would go for the shibuya ultimate recurve sight, i personaly use one and think its an amazing sight! Several people also use them. They have me recomendation!

I agree I've had the shibuya for over two years and never had a problem don't know too much about other sights apart from the arten olympic -mine shook too pieces in the end but that could be the way I treated it

ummm, as long as your poundage isnt too heavy, prob the cheapest and best value for money, is the cartel activa, otherwise the shibuya ones are good!!!!

Been using a spigarelli carbon for about 2 years. Very light, never any problems and its very good for fine adjustment outdoors. About €180 last time i checked. Pretty sturdt, despite lack of weight.

i like the arc systeme sx50, nice cheap enough light carbon and holds at 42lbs and above id say!

    Sure Loc Quest X.

    It's for winners.

When I finished off recurve I was on a Sureloc. It was a wee bit shaky. Purists will argue that was because I shot it off a compound a few times though

I use a sureloc on my compound and its great. But thats a compound. Can't go far wrong with a Shibuya though!

But, if ya want to go the whole hog and be set up for indoors, outdoors, field, tactical strike - get a copper john. Only sight with the ANTS (basically the sight is always at the correct angle to your eye regardless of the position on the bracket). I have one for my outdoor bow and it is smooth and solid.

Copper John all the way - good at everything while having a slight edge for outdoor FITA and field (moreso with compounds but recurvers use it for the same reason).

But well worth it. You won't need another sight again. Ya can pick up good'uns on eBay for cheap. Got mine there and its as good as new.

lens angle distortion? but i wont have a lens... is it the evo 2 series you have? 245 dolla new... can you remember what kinda price you got it for? is there a recurve and a compound model?

Evo 2? Hmm, not sure, its the Copper John 2 so probably is. Lens and sight tunnel act the same with the ANTS, ensures that you always see the lens/tunnel at the right angle.

Think I got it for 150 buck second hand, if you are getting one second hand make sure they send you the case as well.
