Have passed it most of my life and never gave it a second thought, its at the roundabout at the top of Carrickbrennan road. Would just like to know if there has ever been any activity there, it was built in the 12th or 13th century by Cistercian monks and I read somewhere recently that Cromwell may have stayed there when he was passing between Wexford and Drogheda.

There is also the 'Widow Gamble' whos ghost is said to appear at the top of Gambles Hill close by, heard friends of my dad talk about it when I was a kid.

    Any feedback would be appreciated?

I see this castle nearly everyday and am curious about this myself.

I too would be interested in any information regarding this castle.

I heard of the widow gamble too, & when i was in my early teens me and a group of mates would go drinking there before going to the top hat ( showing my age there now!!) but we never had any kind of 'feelings' about the place & I would be quite sensitive to that kind of thing.
