Seeing as their really no dedicated thread for the game why not now.

I bought the game yesterday, not sure would I love it or hate it. But I love it :D
It really is one of the best games I have played on the Wii for game play and it just screams out the style of the Wii imo.

So whats you're opinions on it for people who own it? or are you thinking of buying it?

Yeah, it looks very interesting indeed. However, it's only one on a list of games I'm gonna get over the next while.

Like you say, i don't know if I'll even like it, but it seems to get glowing reviews just about everywhere. I never got around to playing Killer7 - one of the few cube games i'm still after - so i really have no idea what to expect. It does look mental though.

The fact is, though, that beam katana is close enough to a light saber for me to hand over the cash.

On rank four now and have enjoyed it thouroughly so far. Considerably more intelligent than your average game: completely bonkers and amusingly and cleverly satirical. The art style is cool, the combat is excellent (and really evolves as you learn new moves) and overall it is just fun (especially the great cut scenes). There are technical problems (damn collision detection!) but as a more offbeat experience it is well worthwhile.

Highlight so far was the (spoilers for anyone not up to rank 5 yet)
the brilliantly taunting 'battle' with the big brain tank. I actually started laughing out loud when the other assassin showed up just before the fight and chopped it in half.
And the magician boss was cool too.

ah,saw the game in very early stage back in last year.

the one thing that make me decided must buy it is (there are not much videos of it at that moment) ,you save your game in toilet lol

p/s:i am so wanna get that limited roll paper of NMH one day....

p/s2:my freeloader and US NMH are coming soon!hopefully tomorrow!!first time i actually cant wait to pass bank holiday

Did I hear correctly that our version is censored? I saw clips for the US version and it is pretty bloody, but looked really cool as well. Have they cut most of that out with the European version?

Yeah our version is censored. Instead of the OTT blood animations it is a sort of black powder stuff. Adds to the dark sort of humour the game has I thought.

Finished the first 2 boss battles and haven't gone back to it since. I just cba saving up enough money to access the next boss.
Might give it another chance soon, but for now it's going on the backburner...

^I'll admit thats the only problem with it for me. gets a little.. Idk, repetitive and boring. but once you have the boss done you get more stuff which is the golden side and you get to kick the crap outta the boss :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,358 ✭✭✭seraphimvc

got it today played for like 5 hours :)love it!

i feel like it is a GTA version of ACT at first but then i completely forget the GTA stuffs in my mind:) brilliant game!it is not repetitive at all = wont feel bored after awhile!surprise about that.like GTA can keep me max for 2hrs straight ,this game can goes more than that.it is very simple and less time consuming from one place to another than GTA once you get used to it ,you will be flying in the game.of course i dont bother on lots of sidequests at the moment ,havent got any of the new glasses!and this guy you know, wear T-shirt that he found in the bin!lol

on the 4th boss now.the shooting game and the ending of 5th boss make me lol nonstop .a great Wii game indeed.Only on Wii:)

I've gotten through the first 4 bosses today, really love this game :) It's not perfect but the fighting system is so satisfying and there's so many laugh out loud and clever moments it makes up for everything.

Just finished it tonight and it does indeed go into full-on mentalness at the end. Loved the
'fake' ending with the Star Wars credits
. Some great Star Wars parodies near the end - at least they acknowledge their influences!

One annoyance as it got to the end though were the bosses with stupidly large amounts of energy. Was a bit of a crawl to get through them.

Overall though a very cool game and one which is much recommended. Worth playing through the whole way to see all the crazy imagination the game has up its sleeve.

realllllyyyy cool isn it?lol and everytime Sylvia says Trust Your FORCE!!

and for the high HP boss you say?i was playing the sweet mode :D basically laughing sweet battles but still need some skills/bonus i say, using the upgrades and darkness time etc.the final boss is pretty tough and cool isnt it?

    SERIOUS SPOILER HERE,BEWARE
she can dodge our Protagonist(lol sir Henry ,i expect you and the player are looking for some twist of fate thing) attacks like in kung fu movie!legend!and the fast forward dialog!!rofl you get the normal version in youtube you seen it?

really clever and epic game overall i say,Soda51 is surely a legend!:D'incomparable' would be the title i give to their games;)

Yeah I played in normal (mild?) mode which possibly made the fights a little harder. The
real ending boss (your brother in a brilliantly melodramatic twist)
was the most annoying though, as it took around fifteen minutes (of which I had to retry three or four times due to his habit of destroying you when he has little health left) of just following the same technique to beat him. Bit horrible - was the same with the 2nd rank battle too.

Just got this game yesterday (Amerian GORE version btw) and this is an absolute peach of a game!

I really took a gamble on buying this as i knew little other than hype, but its one of the best games on the console.

haha!i say (and been looking around online) most of us think he is way easier than the last one, just he has some high damage attack and
1 hit kill counter while he is crawling on ground strangely ,i think everyone has been bitten by that once:p was wondering if every boss has the killing you off cutscene?
but very easy to dodge compare to her crazy lighting speed moves.2nd rank boss is
the insane base ball bat b*tch isnt?
    :Danother legend in game history...

do ya think it will have a sequel?
henry's wife said :too bad there will be no sequal while there is a line of TO BE CONTINUED in the end :pac: b*stard soda51!!oh, and sylvia's daughter.........

edit:now now,i hope our spoiler tags will drive people mad to finish the game ASAP:D

I doubt there will be a sequel personally. I'm inclined to believe Sylvia on this one, and the to be continued sign at the end was just another example of Suda's bizarre sense of humour... and also a great Back to the Future homage :)

Nah, some games don't need sequels, and after playing Killer7 and No More Heroes to death, I am inclined to say they are those types of games. I'd much rather a new IP from Suda51 that's as different from No More Heroes as No More Heroes is from Killer7. Similar themes, completely different gameplay.

havent tried Killer7(one of the game i am still after for GC!) but i think they have lots more story and stuffs to expand in NMH sequel:)and saying that i want a sequel of NMH simply is my compliment to a game, i want more!highest honour to a video game i guess
