Bleg have to agree with all of your post O Connor for his age looked great

Niall Ronan great game could get the nod for the QF imo if injuries to wally and leamy arent clear

Thought Buckley had a good game as well.

Great to see Jerry back :D

Niall Ronan had one of his best games in a long time.

O'Connor definitely had an amazing game, he looked excellent, and the man mountain buckley had a decent match.

I still think that o'leary has a great place on the bench, in that he can cover quite well, but never enough to take a starting place off anyone.

Partly cus i haven't been following the munster games as of late, cad é an sceal with ian dowling?

And that talent would be what exactly?

Dowling is a competent wing. If he's lucky he'll end up as good as John Kelly, that's about it though (I don't mean that in an overly disparaging way, Kelly would never let anyone down and was a decent enough player, but that was it. Never good enough for international or anything). He's a fair way off being as intelligent about the game as him though.

I dunno I feel Dowling has shown times that he is a very high standard and due to injury never got to show his full potential.

Podge isn't solid players exactly what we need :D

Well I'd take solid over Murphy-esque but its possible I've overly harsh on him...

I really don't mean it in an overly bad way. Solid is all Munster really want from their wings. I simply don't think he is or ever will be international standard. With a lot of hard work he may be a good HC wing, but that's about the limit of what he's capable of. He simply doesn't have any of the speed, size, skill or finishing ability of an international or even potential international. He's not that fast, he's not that big and I'd back Fitz or Kearney to take him one-on-one rather than the other way round.

There are talents in Munster that need nurturing. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view I suppose) they are largely in the areas that Munster are always strong in. Hurley needs time at prop, Ryan needs time at lock and there are a couple decent back-rows popping up. The likes of Hurley at FB and Earls at centre/wing simply aren't getting their chance or possibly aren't viewed as good enough (which would be a shame and quite silly at their age). Dowling was unable to get into the Leinster set-up for a reason.

while I enjoyed the game I wouldn't get carried away, Ulster are holding up the bottom of the table for some time now and their defense needs a lot of work.

I think you'll find tis Connaught are on the bottom plus ulster have 2 games in hand

Agree bout Hurley not getting game

Holding up the bottom of the table is a general term
If you need to be so specific it's one game in hand, with 26 points off the top.

Yes some good new talent on display and kidney knew this was the game to give them a run against handy opposition
