hmmm, I considered playing, then came to the conclusion, that when I spend 300 blips on a tourney, I'd like to have more than 4k and 25 min levels

Had a really difficult starting table......the 2 owners of CPT were on it !!!

I gambled with my first 2k and lost....was on da felt at blinds at 400/800 was in sb with last 150 chips but managed to last to the 3k/6k blind level.

came 21st in the end from 291

pushed from sb with K2 sooooted bb call with 95 os........busto.

can't grumble as he was getting 2/1......bloody Germans !!

    Came 7th in this.

Had the run of my first two tables and was able to gather chips early which really helped against the short stack shoves.

Managed to be free rolling with 11 scalps at the 1500/3000 stage and finished with 16 total.

Totally card dead 3 tables out

Despite the crap starting stacks and blind time i found the standard to to excellent but of course can only comment on the tables i was on.

    Overall really enjoyed the game

Good performances folks. 291 x 270 = €78, 570 prizepool. I assume 27 paid? How much did each of you get paid? And how much was first?

    Thanks Danny,

Yeah was happy enough with the outcome in the end, no cards at all 3 tables out so was losing blinds and the robbing them back in position so not really adding to my stack

It became a bit of all in or fold so the rest were able to catch up on me.

Overall happy with how i played

you knocked me out then, you had 78 of diamonds in the bb and i let u see the flop for **** all from the sb,
flop was 447 and i pushed with A10

i should of pushed pre flop instead of on the flop you couldnt call then.

well done on the 7th not a paid pay day

Ah yeah, at the time you were the only player i was really worried about mixing it up with. You had some nice plays from what i could make out from when i arrived at the table.

    A pre flop push i couldn't call.

were you at the table when i had the guy ,that was sitting to your left, all in KK -v- 99... he seemed an ok player but his reason for calling the all in was '9s have been good to me today', not even thinking about wheter he needed to suck out or not (which he did of course with 9 on the flop)

yeah he wasn't a bad player but i think he was running fairly card dead, he had said to me his 9's had stood up 4 times that day. Poor call as he had no reason to take a race there.

He ended up bubbling the bubble with a mid position push holding 96os into two decent stacks in the blinds.

The very next hand 2 player got knocked out on another table.

I played in this. Very first hand I open raised 3.5bbs "to make a statement" with Q2 off. Five (5) callers including the blinds! Flop came A high and it was checked to me, fired out 2/3rd pot bet and only 3 callers. Turn and river were checked and the other 3 all showed an A!!!

Instantly had to tighten up and took my second 2k in chips when level 2 started.

A guy sits down at our table late who went deep in the IO and was instantly active. He didnt take his second 2k. I found AK and put him AI to slow him down when he made yet another open raise, he called with pocket 8s and I out flopped him. Was ahead of the average by the end of the first hour.

During second hour I picked up J4 sooted in my Big Blind and I checked my option with 2 callers. I flop a flush and bet the pot hoping to represent the High Card, both call. Turn is an Ace so I insta check and induce a 2/3rds pot bet from next to act, other guy folds and I raise AI, insta called and he's drawing dead - SCALP # 1.

Scalp # 2: I've been quiet and have a good image 3 hours in and have a healthy enough stack, about twice the average, not afraid of anyone at the table. Pick up 58 off in LP having already decided to raise no matter what. 1 limper so I raise 3.5 BBs, all fold except limper. Flop comes 962 rainbow, limper checks and I c-bet half pot. Limper calls after a dwell. Turn is a magic 7. Limper checks and I check behind. River J. Limper bets big and I min reraise after a "think", he goes insta AI and I scoop, he had KJ sooted.

Scalps # 3 and # 4 I get along the way busting some shorties.

Four tables out and I have three times the average and am cruising. Avg stack is 11 bbs. I get moved and pick up KK in LP. A shortie pushes for 10bbs and I go AI, another shortie with 13bbs calls and a comparative monster pot is at stake. My KK is v 99 and QQ, 9 on the flop, Q on the turn and my hand is worst. Next hand I am seen as steaming and pick up AK which I open raise 3bbs. 1 caller. Flop is rags and I c-bet3/5 pot and am RR, so I bin. Now suddenely Iam a shortie.

Open push my way to bubble and have about 5 BBs (3000/1500/300)(15k) when it bursts.

Next hand I pick up J5 sooted in the BB. Having posted bb and ante Im down to 11k. 3.5bb shortie goes AI and its folded to me. With the antes and blinds in the pot I have to call (pot is ~18k). He shows poket 10s. Flop comes J high, turn pairs my kicker and river gives him runner runner flush :(.

Blind push on next hand and gone.

Really enjoyed the tourney and the atmosphere esp when they "cordoned off" the last four tables as the crowd gathered (I even felt like a real poker player for a bit :p)

    er......

flop 9 high....turn of J diamonds pairs your jack and puts you in front but the brick of diamonds on the river four flushes that jammy luckbox with the one diamond pair of tens.

but he didn't last long either......well played gg

Was that your goodself? You stood up more times in that tourney and caught some magic rivers to sit back down :)
I think you are right, the flop was 9 high, but it had a 5 and paired my under card. The turn made my 2 pair. I never saw the flush, I only prayed there would be no 10.

Well done to get to the money and to have perservered for so long. I remember you grimacing often with obviously tough decisions near the bubble.
