Anyone else pick up the album today? It was either this or Foals, I think I'm happy with my choice.

Album is good, alot more poppy than I was expecting it to be. All the live tracks translate well onto record, although I listen to the live version of We Are Rockstars more so than the album version.

i want to get the album because i've heard a lot of the hype about them, any good?
what bands would you compare them to?

Yeah it gets better and better with each listen...ehm I don't want to say Klaxons 'cause while they are simular, they are also far apart from each other.

I'd say Daft Punk but with guitars and alot louder

Yeah, heard a lot of noise about them when I was in London for the summer but am unimpressed when I typed them in lastfm, overly pop.. like the Klaxons.

    Terrible name. Terrible band.

Emm, you might compare them a little bit with Hadouken, I suppose.
Bazuki was probably closest with Daft Punk with guitars.
It's that general sort of rock/dance crossover.

They got into Last.fms top ten "newcomers: for 2008. Their album had been kinda hiding on my ipod, but when i saw it on last.fm i figured i would give it a go. I was kinda expecting it to be much less accessible, i dunno if i am dissapointed or not. They are a little bit poppy for my liking....

Terrible album, but a great live band.

Had an awful lot of fun at one of their sets last summer, really quite cool!

Admittedly only listening to them now on MySpace. They seem a bit hit & miss. On the other hand, The Foals are one of my fav bands at the moment. Have been listening to their album, Antidotes, every day for the past few months. I never grow tired of it - the sign of an excellent album! Get it
