1st dumb question: What is SAC?

2nd dumb question: How do you know if someone is a member of the IAA?

Not so dumb. I'm the only one with a complete list and even I wouldnt know who half the folks on it are ... so yeah, how do you know

(not being a dick, just curious as to how you would vet such a thing).

I thought the obvious thing to do is bring your membership confirmation letter with you. If not, kidnap and bring Hivemind! :D

And whats this thingy with biscuits...surely you mean Cookies!!!

    camo cookies ...sorry about that.
as to the question of proof of iaa membership , iceage has shown the solution path to this question , until the iaa get a chance to address their members cards.

Except that membership letters havent gone out due to a few minor niggles that required ironing out (namely a bunch of people sending in forms with spurious addresses).

The first batch went out fine but we havent done another batch due to a) the cost and b) the membership cards are only a couple of weeks away.

As much as it would be great, you'll wind up having to give everyone the "benefit of the doubt" ;)

I was thinking a pm'd list of members to Major Sims would be the way, What do ya reckon? or an E Mail or something. I think that a half price offer to I.A.A. members would have guys chompping at the bit. Or is it a them and us thing, or is that just me? Seems that there has been very little assistance from members and rather more obstacles and verbal knocks about S.A.C.

It would be nice to find out as to why? Please don't get all excited now guys, this is just an observation. Nothing else so any positive ideas or suggestions?:)

    Smiley. your on boards..

Is that list possible Hivemind? without causing to much hassle. in this case it might be a bit to late....

What if youre not a member? Can you pay a straight up cash fee? or is it just 'sorry not tonight mate'.

I'd be fairly sure you could, best PM Sims to find out on that.

SAC are not an IAA affiliate.

I would be strung up if I started giving out membership details to anyone who asked. Especially when they arent a member or affiliate - not that we would provide such information to even an affiliate - ask any of the retailers why such info would be useful to them ;)

No, I'm afraid this will have to wait until there are official IAA membership cards in circulation before this kind of thing can be done. There are other ways but right now the infrastructure isnt ready to cope with it.

I'm not going to get into this any deeper. The list is not going to be made available to anyone other than the committee. If you require more information please contact the committee through the usual info@irishairsoft.ie email address.

    Thanks.
