I know this is very random and VERY last minute but I am heading up to IKEA to get a bed. I'm renting a Van but I will have loads of space left. All I need is the bed so if anyone wants me to pick them up anything (within reason!) just et me know. I promise I'm not dodgy! Just seems like a bit of waste not to.

Cool of you to offer, Dalas

How did you get on ?

Also interested in hearing how much it cost you to rent the van ? I am doing an IKEA run later in April.

    Hey,
I was there the other day.......arrived @ 5pm on Tuesday last and left @ 9.40pm. No real crowds - very comfortable to move around - best time I'd say as weekends are manic i believe.
It was good, had Dinner there (swedish meatballs), shopped till my missus dropped - bought a nice bookcase, storgage unit for my kids toys, office desk, office chair, floating shelves, a few funky lamps, a few funky light fittings. My wife alos bought various nik naks and bed linen for our sons ikea extendable bed we got previously last year.

I also had a list of all the bulbs i needed throughout the house to change over to CFL and got em all in ikea..........terrific value in CFL's.

what else - Emmmmmmmmmm, ohhhh, yeah - i got some cans of swedish non-alcoholic cider with some spare change sterling i had in my pocket.........good to be able to offer a friend who visits a drink safe in the notion they are safe to drive home!

all in all..........a good day out...........but tiring - those hard concrete floors wear you out!

ah, yes - they take lasercards too now from poople down south like us.

    Have a great time.

    Hey,

Well they didnt have any beams left for the beds!!! So I missed out on them but I got the mattress and lots of candles!! There was still lots of room in the van! No one took me up on the offer expect a friend for a coffee table! It's a pity actually cuase their delivery is 100 sterling and I honestly heard more people from Dublin then anywhere. Pity there isnt some kind of pooling thing...
