You can use multi stranded copper wire to make a snare with eyelets. You should study methods of setting up runs that lead the fox to a catch of food in a tunnel where he can be snared.

But I think that they are very indiscriminate and can end up trapping hares ,rabbits, young lambs.

    Just my opinion

Dont DARE looking for snares or even mention snare wire in most of the EU it is an illegal and banned method of trapping from a humane point of view.Seems that only Ireland,UK ,still allow it.Everywhere else you must use either a deadfall,or a Jaw trap with PULL release, not pressure release so it does'nt hold on a leg.Cant understand why snares, which are an art to do correctly and humanely are allowed and a quick killing deadfall is illegal here.Bass Ackwards in Ireland again:rolleyes:

    Hello,

As a lover of nature and after rescuing an animal from one of your sick interfering cowardly traps this morning, I trust that you will all get what you deserve.
Wouldn't it be nice if you had some sort of Jonny Powder experience.

    I can but wish.

I think the point should be made you don't needs to use snares etc when you have such devices as larsen traps why inflict unnecessary suffering

That and Larsen traps are for avian vermin, not foxes.

I know larsen traps a for birds what I was trying to say was that unnecessary suffering should not happen even to vermin. I shoot foxes
regularly any time I think they need controlling. As a boy I hunted with my grandfather who used snares to catch rabbits. When we came upon a
snared rabbit it often made me sick to see the results of trapping in this way and was glad when they got finished off quickly.
