Hi guys.. I have been experiencing problems with my laptop, mostly playing Paddy Power Poker. I have posted about it in the poker forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055258151

I also have problems logging into their website and onto this page using IE. (firefox is grand)
So I have been advised to go here for help. It looks like my IE is the problem so I upgraded it to IE8 but it didnt solve the problem. If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!!

You could try installing maxthon 2.0 or 1.6 it's basically the same engine as internet explorer but with extra features added. Everything that works in internet explorer should work the same in maxthon. If it works for you then it might suggest its just something configured in internet explorer that is giving you trouble. If you have the same problems then it might mean something more serious.

Other thing to do would be to create a new user account (control panel->users) on the computer and log into that and test if you have the same issues. If still giving trouble reinstalling xp/vista might be the most straight forward solution... unless you can pinpoint whats going wrong or reset internet explorer somehow

and wouldnt run to long with the firewall turned off....

    Hey thanks for ur reply!!

I've installed maxthon but no success. So I uninstalled it. I then reset the IE and went into my guest account. The log in and password thingy finally appeared on the Paddy Power website, but it wasnt perfectly aligned, it was overlapping the tabs below?

I then logged into the Paddy Power Poker software and this time there was success in that the chat function was working. However when I tried to access cashier, this time instead of getting the logo I got HTTP 404, webpage cannot be found.

FWIW, I've got vista running on my computer....

Umm... If the Paddy Power Poker site is not working with standard install IE then the poker world would start burning things right? It must be some setting you have on yer IE thats preventing it.
Eitherway, re-install and see what the story is.
Also, is there a problem with Firefox?

No problem with firefox. Its IE... I dunno whats wrong with it, I've upgraded it to the latest version (IE8) and reset it but still no success...
When I m on my usual account on the laptop, the problem is still its worse, no log in into PP website, cant get their poker software to work properly. When i log into the software, I click cashier but get nothing but the PP logo.
When I m on my guest account, the software works properly, banners are running properly on the software but I cant get access to the cashier as it loads and then gives me the HTTP 404..
Reinstalling the PPP software doesnt work... IE is such a pain in the hole as i ve no idea whats wrong with it.
