They have a nice range of Chimay beers in there, you could try those for a start. The Chimay Blue is my favourite. They also have a good menu with some specials listed. Have a read when you get there.

erdinger kristal is in many places now, has no yeast, erdinger dunkel (dark) is rare in pubs for some reasons, the blue one is non-alcoholic, kristal is silver, I just ask for silver erdinger as many don't know the proper name. Budvar is in a lot of pubs too now. Spaten, paulaner.

I just point beers out in the fridge and ask what they are, might order something and ask for a look at another bottle, then get it next time if it looked OK.

Stay out of rounds on the Chimay and other strong stuff, not fair on your mates pocket, and you end up ruined drunk.

Budvar and Tiger are both excellent and found in many pubs these days. Besides them, I've only ever tried those that you already mentioned (not a fan of the erdinger though!).

TBH, Krombacher is my favourite of all them. No idea of what type of pub you are going to (not very familiar with Dundalk), but I hope to go to more pubs that are frequented by Eastern Europeans, as they might have a bigger selection (Tyskie etc)
