I''m looking at the 2.4Ghz Macbooks. And I like the black one but is it worth the extra money just for the extra hard drive space? or is there other differences I'm not seeing?

Although it does wear much better, as in it stays looking better for longer.

Scratches dont seem to come up half as bad as the white one, and the white one has a tendancy to go yellow.

Does the black one suffer the same cracking problem as the white one, does anyone know? Wass thinking of getting one in August in the US, but the Air looks mighty attractive too, with a weak dollar. I only use it for presentations on a projector anyway, so lack of ports, drives etc wouldn't bother me. Although, when I'm in that territory a 15" MBP looks great too........

if you're looking at spending that kind of money you may as well just get the MBP... i bought one just a few months ago and it was by far the best technological purchase i've ever made. it cost around the same as the PC that i built but i use it about 90% more then the PC at this stage...

Personally if I were worried about this I'd buy a cover - not worth spending several hundred extra IMO.

OP, the hard drive can be upgraded very easily in a MacBook, as can the RAM, so buy the lowest amount Apple offer you and then source your own components elsewhere, you'll save a fortune.

I'm on my 3rd Powerbook, but I really don't need the power of the MBP, I have 3 Minis as well and the do my day to day. Its just the palm sweating, eye popping thought of $500 cheaper. The MacBook should do me, but it'd be TOO cheap:p
