Time for a question of a shady nature!
This summer my girlfriend from the U.S. is hoping to come over for about 3 months to live with me during my summer internship. She is a student in the US and is trying to apply for a 4 month student work visa here but will be staying less than 90 days either way. Unfortunately its taking quite some time and their correspondence with us hasn't exactly been quick in regards to questions so I put it to you people to give me quicker, better more concise answers to my questions!

Firstly, does anyone here know someone who obtained a student work visa for Ireland and if so do they know the closing date for applications?
Secondly, is there much on the old seasonal job front in Limerick, are there pubs, cafes, shops etc hiring? I am seeing lots of "help wanted" signs up in Cork so was just wondering if it was the same there.

And finally.... should she be unable to obtain a visa what is the story with working illegally? Is she likely to get work and furthermore would she be likely to get caught? Also are the penalties for working illegally in Ireland as extreme as the penalties in America, i.e. banned from Ireland.

Cheers and any replies good or bad are helpful because I'm fairly clueless in regards to this! Oh and mods, I hope this doesn't break any rules, sorry if it has.
