What do you do with your photos?

This thread has probably be done but me being a bit of a noob to this section I thought it would be interesting to see what most of you do with your photos.
Do you host all of the on flickr or your personal websites, do you print the best and frame them?Do you have a portfolio type album to keep them in?Or do they just spend the rest of their lives on hard drives never to be looked at again

I tend to put what I think are my best photos onto flickr but then only some people see them cause only some people have my flickr account details(mainly people who are on IRC with me). Im considering doing an album type portfolio of some of my best photographs so that family and friends would have an opportunity to see what I think are my best pics.

I have a flickr that needs updating with some new ones, don't get that much time. :/ I have a small album that I show to friends as they are always interested in what I have come up with. Have printed a couple for my bare walls but I have a small digital camera that doesn't produce very big prints. Maybe this year I'll finally get around to getting a bigger one. Whee for tax rebate.

Put the ones I like up on pix.ie (stopped using Flickr because it was so fn slow to look at others shots) Print some, the rest stay on hard drive and backed up disc

It depends on the photograph. A number of them make it up to flickr because I have a contact base built up there. A lesser number of them make it to pix.ie because I wanted to use that account as a showcase. A still lesser number make it up onto my own gallery site because that's a marketing tool plus I am in the process of figuring out the best way to set up an online shop for it.

I do some prints, up to 20x30 inches, but usually A4 for myself. I have printed stuff onto mugs, teeshirts and a swimming float. Some I re-process if they hit me differently after time. Some are licensed to a couple of businesses and some have been used in posters by a voluntary organisation.

I put some on Flickr, and link them from there to friends or to other boards. Some I print (for myself, I inflict them on my office mates who are too polite to object, or maybe it's my noise cancelling headphones). The majority I archive and forget about. I take a lot of crap photos :)

Some of mine go on FlickR, my better ones go on my website, and then some are printed and hang around my apt. Others are printed and given to friends/family for their places.

Other than that, yeah, I've loads stored on my PC that may never see the light of day.

Funny, i was thinking about this earlier and was going to post a thread on it!

I just took a month or so off posting, and I can't say I'm too inclined to go back either - but since my stuff hasn't gone onto flickr, it hasn't gone anywhere. I've signed up for SoFoBoMo (google it - but I'll be doing a thread about it soon enough) and that's some sort of a final product I suppose (it's producing a photography book in a month, in short).

I'd love to print and hang a few about the place but a) I hate printing and b) I don't want to fork out for a canvas print of something I suspect I may get sick of looking at.

Does anyone else get sick of looking at their own stuff? It's just so... mleh.... :(

Most are on Hard Drives, some are printed. 2 are hanging on my walls here. The "Commie" one is on canvas and I have a professionally framed one of the Spire.

Hmmm reminds me must order some external HDD's for backup.

I'm in a real printing mood of late, experimenting with different types of paper. I recently found some frames I really like and have been giving out some framed prints as presents.

I have some prints on my walls which are A3 prints but I will be changing them all to A4 as I prefer that look with a large mount, framed.

I sell a lot and put some of my favourites on a 10 inch digital photo frame

Ooh yes i like the digital photo frame thing actually.

Does anyone use their stuff as deskop wallpaper, screensaver, that sort of thing, or is that considered to be up ones own behind type of behaviour?

I generally use my own photographs for screensavers and desktop images.

I post mine on Flickr and also send them into newspapers. Lately I'm getting into the habit of printing out a few and like a couple of peeps said, must get more external hdd's to backup my photos and movies etc.

Flickr (mainly)/ Pix (not as much as I would like, for various reasons), I also have a some printed out and framed on the walls round about the house.

I have a large (even by Irish standards) extended family, and every Christmas I do out a calendar with a mixture of family and my more "artistic" shots and distribute them to the various folks, they usually go down quite well. When I visited my sister in Oz recently i was a bit perturbed to see my calender on the back of the jacks door, and am still wondering if I was being fed a whopper when my brother in law told me it was the only place where everybody in the house would see it everyday......:p

I never realised that that might be considered 'up your own behind' kind of behaviour but maybe in work it is. I did that the last place I was working :o but I shoot things that i think are nice and I stick them up as wallpaper on my laptop
    which nobody sees

Had the same thought the other day and said it to the wife. If our Mac goes bust so too does the pictorial record of the last 3 years with the exception of a selection of photo's on our laptops! Must get an external drive and back-up!
