    Hi..

    Does anyone know if there is any neuro-ophthalmologist in Ireland or where would the nearest one be?

    Thanks - I have tried Google but it's not much help I think

    Cheers

    I would suggest contacting either Cork University Hospital or Beaumont Hospital both are neuro centres in Ireland, whilst they may not have one they'd probably know where there is one.

    As part of my work experience I made a list of the opthalmologists in the 4 main Dublin clinics and their specialities. Here are the Neuro-opthalmologists and where they are based;
    Louise O Toole is based in Medical Optics in Fairview and occasionally in The Beacon Eye Clinic
    Lorraine Cassidy is based in the Eye and Ear
    Patricia Logan is based in the Mater.

    Its worth noting that we only took the clinics we used most ie Mater, Eye and Ear, Charlemont, Blackrock and Beacon so there may well be others in the Dublin area

    Hope this helps

    I know this is an old thread but I reckon I need to see an neuro-ophthalmologist because I see halos around lights at night and Ive been checked by three different optomitrists who found nothing wrong with my eyes.

    get an opthamologist referal from your gp or optician.
    Halos could be caused by a nimber of things.
